Inland, at an altitude of 500 metres, the drier air cools quickly as soon as the sun sets. The result: <strong>a difference of almost 16 \u00b0C between afternoon and night<\/strong> in midsummer, compared with 10 \u00b0C in Toulon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sleeping well at Camping Aux Vallons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" data-block-type=\"core\">\n<li data-block-type=\"core\"><strong>During the day<\/strong> : swim in <a href=\"\/en\/the-verdon-lakes\/\">Lac de Sainte-Croix<\/a>, a 10-minute walk away, or in the <a href=\"\/en\/camping-verdon-piscine-83\/\">heated swimming pool<\/a> at the campsite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li data-block-type=\"core\"><strong>In the evening<\/strong> : dinners on the terrace are pleasantly cool, so bring a light jumper for late evenings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li data-block-type=\"core\"><strong>At night<\/strong> : on dort fen\u00eatres ouvertes. In July and August, the temperature drops to 16 \u00b0C on average at night, and only 2 to 3 nights per summer go above 20 \u00b0C, compared with 19 in Hy\u00e8res and 38 in Toulon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is it hot during the day?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-block-type=\"core\">Yes, summer afternoons are properly hot: 32 \u00b0C on average in July, as hot as Marseille.
